Toyota Corolla (E170): Steps to take in an emergency
- If your vehicle needs to be towed
- If you think something is wrong
- Fuel pump shut off system
- If a warning light turns on or a warning buzzer sounds
- If a warning message or indicator is displayed (vehicles with a multi-information display)
- If you have a flat tire
- If the engine will not start
- If the shift lever cannot be shifted from P (except vehicles with a manual transmission)
- If the electronic key does not operate properly (vehicles with a smart key system)
- If the vehicle battery is discharged
- If your vehicle overheats
- If the vehicle becomes stuck

1. Inspect drive belt
Visually check the belt for excessive wear, frayed cords,
etc.
If any defect is found, replace the drive belt.
Hint:
cracks on the rib side of a belt are considered acceptable. If the
missing chunks from the ribs are found on the belt, it should be
replaced.
