Toyota Corolla (E120): Inspection procedure
1 Check relay (marking: starter cut)
- Inspect the relay continuity, as shown in the illustration and table.
Standard:
2 Check tvip ecu
- Disconnect the tvip ecu connector.
- turn the ignition switch position to the start.
- measure the voltage between the terminal of the ecu connector and the body ground, as shown in the illustration and table.
Standard:
Check and replace tvip ecu

For vehicles equipped with mobile communication system
Install an antenna as far as possible away from the ecu
and sensors of the vehicle’s electronic systems.

Circuit description
The rotary solenoid type idle air control (iac) valve is located
under the throttle body and intake air bypassing the throttle
valve flows into the iac valve through the passage.
In this way the intake air volume bypassing the throttle valve is
