Toyota Corolla (E120): Circuit description
While driving uphill with cruise control activated, in order to minimize gear shifting and provide smooth cruising overdrive may be prohibited temporarily under some conditions.
The cruise control ecu sends o/d cut signals to the ecm as necessary and the ecm cancels overdrive shifting until these signals are discontinued.

1. Inspect torque converter clutch assy
Inspect the one–way clutch.
Set sst into the inner race of the one–way clutch.
Sst 09350–32014 (09351–32010)
set sst so that it fits in the notch of the converter
hub and outer race of the one–way clutch.

or p0453 is output with dtc p0442 or p0456 , first troubleshoot
dtc p0441, p0446, p0451, p0452 or p0453. If no malfunction is detected,
troubleshoot dtc
p0442 or p0456 next.
