Circuit description
A thermistor is built in the engine coolant temperature sensor and changes
the resistance value according
to the engine coolant temperature.
The structure of the sensor and connection to the ecm is the same as those of
the intake air temperature
sensor.
Hint:
if the ecm detects the dtc ...
Inspection procedure
1 Inspect dlc3 terminal voltage
Turn the ignition switch to on.
measure voltage between terminals 13 (tc) and 4 (cg) of
dlc3.
Ok:
voltage: 10 – 16 v
2 Check harness and connector(between cruise control ecu assy
and dlc3)
Check for open and short circuit in harness ...
Inspection procedure
1 Check operation(stop lamp swtich assy)
Check that the stop light comes on when the brake pedal is depressed,
and turns off when the brake
pedal is released.
