Toyota Corolla (E170): Changing the passkey
1 Select “Passkey” using

a 4 to 8-digit passkey using

Input the number 1 digit at a time.
3 When the entire number to be registered as a passkey has been input, press
again.
If the passkey to be registered has 8 digits, pressing
again is not necessary.

Starting the engine
1. Check that the parking brake
is set.
2. Check that the shift lever is in
P.
3. Firmly depress the brake
pedal.
4. Turn the engine switch to
START to start the engine.
■If the engine does not start
The engine immobilizer system may
not have been deactivated.
