Toyota Corolla (E170): Before jacking up the vehicle
● Stop the vehicle on a hard, flat surface.
● Set the parking brake.
● Shift the shift lever to P (automatic transmission or continuously variable transmission) or R (manual transmission).
● Stop the engine.
● Turn on the emergency flashers.

Remove the ecu–ig fuse from the instrument panel j/b.
check the continuity of the ecu–ig fuse.

1. Remove air cleaner case
2. Remove air cleaner hose no.1
3. Remove speedometer sensor
disconnect the connector.
remove the bolt and speedometer sensor assembly.
remove the clip and driven gear from the speedometer
sensor.
4. Install speedometer sensor

Child restraint systems with a top tether strap
1 Adjust the head restraint to the downmost position.
2 Secure the child restraint system using the seat belt or LATCH anchors.
3 Open the anchor bracket cover, latch the hook onto the anchor bracket and tighten
the top tether strap.
Make sure the top tether strap is securely latched.
