Toyota Corolla (E120): Replacement
1. Remove engine under cover rh
2. Remove fan and generator v belt
3. Remove generator assy
- Disconnect the wire clamp from the wire clip on the rectifire end frame.
- remove the rubber cap and nut, and disconnect the alternator wire.
- disconnect the alternator connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts and alternator.
4. Install generator assy
Torque:
12 mm head 25 nvm (250 Kgf·cm, 18 ft·lbf)
14 mm head 54 nvm (550 Kgf·cm, 39 ft·lbf)

Circuit description
The d squib circuit consists of the airbag sensor assy center, spiral cable
sub–assy and horn button assy.
It causes the srs to deploy when the srs deployment conditions are satisfied.
Dtc b0100/13 is recorded when a short is detected in the d squib circuit.

1. Thermostat
Hint:
the thermostat is numbered with the valve opening temperature.
Immerse the thermostat in water and gradually heat the
water.
check the valve opening temperature.
Valve opening temperature:
80 to 84 c (176 to 183 f)

1. Check fuel pump operation
Connect the hand–held tester to the dlc3.
turn the ignition switch on and hand–held tester main
switch on.
Notice:
do not start the engine.
